Remember I only have week 4 measurements I will forever regret not doing them day 1! I am halfway to my goal of 50 lbs though! I am going to be so strict on my food and exercise this month it's not even funny! Yesterday I decided to prepare my food for the week. This was the craziest experience ever, because I have never done that and I did not realize how much work it was, but I'm so glad I did it cause now I don't have to spend time thinking about what I'm eating everyday. I am following my JNL food plan this next month, and she has some yummy recipes that I am trying. I did some of my own substitutions so it took me longer because I had to recalculate calories. This morning I cooked a frittata and had strawberries BEFORE going to work this morning. They say you are suppose to eat within an hour after waking up and I did! Felt so good and I feel like I had time to enjoy myself in the morning! Also woke up to JNL herself saying I won her new book The Jennifer Nicole Lee Fitness Model Diet, and she started following me on Intagram. I'm sorry, but that is so cool to me!

It's getting harder with the warmer weather lately, because really the only thing I want to do is lay out in the sun with an ice cold beer in my hand. Not yet! I need to earn it again. So I will be putting that on hold for a bit... Well the drinking part, but you can't take the sun from me. I need to be focused because there will be temptations all the time and I have to remember this is about me! So when I get offered a drink or something sweet I WILL BE SAYING NO! Hey, I am still a good time without the alcohol trust me!

Along with my new diet plan, I am also focusing on a special body part for the month of June... My ABS! I need to slim this waist/ belly down so I can get in that bikini without hesitation! I will be doing my own AB challenge this month (starting today). I really want some of you (or all of you) to join me! It will be a hoot!!! So you will want to do 3 sets of 30 seconds....

Fitness Friday- Squat Challenge Results

So some of you knew that I was doing a 30 day squat challenge... Well I finally completed the challenge and have my before and after. Still have a ways to go but holy cow there is a major difference. (Excuse my photography skills. My husband was sleeping and just decided to take them on my own.) I love SEEING my body transform! I really encourage people to take photos of them selves, although it may be gross or embarrassing at first, it is an amazing motivater and when you do start feeling discouraged you can take another photo to help you see that you really have transformed. Remember, the scale is only a small indicator of your success! How you feel, and how your clothes fit is the most important. Here is the challenge I did in case you want to do your own squat challenge!  Enjoy! I know I did. I even may do it again! -Ash

1 Year of Hard Work = The Real Me Reborn

One year ago today marked the first day of finding me again. One year ago I was depressed, miserable, lazy, unhappy, overweight, and lonely. One year ago today, I weighed 220lbs. I can't even begin to tell you how much of me has changed physically and emotionally. When I decided to take this life long journey to be fit and happy, I never in a million years would have thought this would be fun and exciting. Most people may think I am crazy, and I would say they are very correct! I am crazy about having energy again, crazy for being able to feel good in my clothes again, crazy that I can now run, walk, lift, hike, or any other activity WITHOUT hurting. Yep, I would say I am crazy  if that is what crazy is to the average person. Throughout this last year I have accomplished so many goals! I have never made a huge goal and accomplished it until this journey. I lost 50 pounds within the first 4 months and have kept it off, plus have lost even more. Crazy what you can accomplish wh
